There are a few things that could be causing your electric tankless water heater to shut off. Finally, the problem may have to do with low water flow rate.
If your unit doesn’t have this option or you can’t find the water supply line, you can shut down the cold water supply for.

Finally, the problem may have to do with low water flow rate. If you don�t see a valve near the heater, follow the gas line until you find one. Go to your circuit breaker panel, find the breaker for your water heater, and switch it to the off position.
Turn this valve in the clockwise position to turn the gas off.
